Grant To Help Launch Careers For Clayton County Students

February 4, 2024 -A federal grant program is helping Clayton County students on their career pathways. Clayton County Public Schools is one of 19 school systems in the U.S. — out of 119 applications — to receive a Perkins Innovation and Modernization Grant. The $4.1 grant is for three years with the possibility of two more years.

    June 22, 2021 -Governor Brian P. Kemp announced that fresh-prepared meal delivery service Freshly Inc. is more than doubling their planned workforce in Georgia and investing $52 million in expanding to Clayton County. The new distribution facility will create 665 jobs in Ellenwood, Georgia.

  • Clayton County Water Authority earns industry awards

    June 10, 2021 - Clayton County Water Authority earned several awards from the Georgia Association of Water Professional’s recent spring conference. Among the awards were Platinum Awards for water production and reclamation facilities that met 100% compliance for the J.W. Smith Water Production Plant, the Terry R. Hicks Water Production Plant, the W.J. Hooper Plant, and the Shoal Creek Water Reclamation Facility.
